Privacy Policy
This policy was last reviewed on the date this page was deployed — replace with a real date before launch.
Information we collect
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash, never in plain text). If you're a student connecting with a teacher, we store that connection. If you use messaging, we store the messages you send within EduLink.
Learning data
To build your learning plans, roadmaps, and quizzes, TeeCarbon sends limited context (like your stated subject and goal) to third-party AI providers. Your quiz answers and results are stored so you and your teacher (if connected) can track progress over time.
Analytics and diagnostics
We collect usage analytics (pages visited, features used) and error/diagnostic information to keep TeeCarbon reliable. Diagnostic data is automatically stripped of passwords, tokens, and other sensitive values before storage, and IP addresses are stored as a one-way hash, not in raw form.
How we use your information
To provide and improve TeeCarbon's features, to let teachers track connected students' progress, to send account-related notifications, and to keep the platform secure and reliable.
Who can see your data
Teachers can see the progress and quiz results of students connected to them. TeeCarbon staff may access data as needed to provide support or maintain the platform. We do not sell your personal information.
Your choices
You can update your account information at any time from your profile. To request deletion of your account or data, contact us at the address on our Contact page.
Children's privacy
If TeeCarbon is used by students under 13, additional protections and consent requirements (such as COPPA in the United States) may apply. This section must be completed with counsel before serving that age group.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
